Fund Allocation to States under Swachh Bharat Mission Detailed

The Ministry of Jal Shakti outlines the year-wise and state-wise allocation of central share funds to State and Union Territory governments under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen and Urban over the last eleven years. Sanitation being a state subject, the allocations are centrally sponsored and demand-driven, based on Annual Implementation Plans and past state performances. The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs handles the central share releases under Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban, ensuring these are compensated per state demands and guidelines.
