Funds for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan
The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment on August 15, 2020, aims to combat substance abuse across India. Initially targeting 272 vulnerable districts, it has now expanded nationwide. The initiative provides ₹10 lakh per district for awareness and treatment programs, with significant achievements including sensitizing over 16.5 crore people, training 20,000+ Master Volunteers, and establishing a toll-free helpline. State governments are urged to form committees and conduct regular activities to ensure effective implementation.
