Gallantry Awards for Indian Naval Personnel on Independence Day 2025

On the eve of Independence Day 2025, President Smt. Droupadi Murmu has approved several gallantry awards for Indian Navy personnel. The awards include the Sarvottam Yuddh Seva Medal to V Adm Sanjay Jasjit Singh, the Uttam Yuddh Seva Medal to V Adm Tarun Sobti, and the Shaurya Chakra awarded to Lt Cdr Suraj Prashar and Ram Goyal. Other awards include the Yudh Seva Medal, Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry), and mentions-in-despatches for various officers.
