On the eve of Independence Day 2025, President Smt. Droupadi Murmu has approved several gallantry awards for Indian Navy personnel. The awards include the Sarvottam Yuddh Seva Medal to V Adm Sanjay Jasjit Singh, the Uttam Yuddh Seva Medal to V Adm Tarun Sobti, and the Shaurya Chakra awarded to Lt Cdr Suraj Prashar and Ram Goyal.
