GeM and UN Women Sign MoU to Empower Women Entrepreneurs

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and UN Women have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the participation of women entrepreneurs in public procurement. The MoU aims to promote gender-responsive procurement by increasing sourcing from women-led businesses, thereby expanding market access under GeM's Womaniya initiative. The collaboration includes training programs, development of validation criteria for women-led businesses, and support for MSME Udyam Registration.
