Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav led the Global Tiger Day 2025 celebrations in New Delhi, announcing a massive tree plantation drive to plant over 1 lakh saplings across 58 tiger reserves. The event highlighted India's commitment to wildlife conservation, with the number of tiger reserves increasing from 46 to 58 since 2014. The International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) was also launched, with participation from 24 countries. The celebrations included an Eco-Shop Exhibition and the launch of a 'Plastic-Free Tiger Reserves' campaign, emphasizing ecological balance and community involvement in conservation efforts.
