Goa Achieves Full Functional Literacy

Goa has been declared fully literate under the ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram, making it the second state in India to surpass the 95% literacy benchmark. This achievement aligns with India's goal of full literacy by 2030 as per the National Education Policy 2020. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant during Goa's 39th Statehood Day celebrations. The state government utilized a Whole-of-Government approach, collaborating with various departments to identify non-literates and facilitate their education.
