Government Advances Efforts to Promote Jute Products through NJDP

The Government of India, under the National Jute Development Program (NJDP), has been actively working to promote the use and development of jute products through various schemes. With an allocation of Rs. 124.45 crore over the past five years, the NJDP includes initiatives such as market development, capital subsidy for machinery acquisition, and production-linked incentives. These efforts aim to support jute artisans, manufacturers, and exporters to battle technological and competitive challenges. The government's efforts also include encouraging the use of jute in packaging to support the jute industry and farmers, alongside campaigns to increase consumer awareness and participation in jute fairs and exhibitions.
