Government Announces Minimum Support Prices for Agricultural Crops

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has announced the Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for 22 agricultural crops for the year 2024-25, based on recommendations from the Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP). The government has implemented a digital payment system for MSP procurement and continues to support farmers through various schemes including PM Kisan, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, and the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. Significant financial assistance has been provided to farmers, with over Rs 3.69 lakh crore disbursed through the PM Kisan scheme alone.
