Government Approves Major Funding to Boost Tribal Infrastructure in Telangana

The Indian Ministry of Tribal Affairs has approved significant funding for initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and economic opportunities in tribal areas of Telangana. The Pradhan Mantri Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (PM DA JGUA) will address infrastructure deficiencies by funding projects such as the construction of hostels, classrooms, and community facilities. Additionally, Tribal Multipurpose Marketing Centres (TMMCs) will be established to assist forest produce gatherers and artisans. The total approved budget is Rs 86.38 crore, with major allocations scheduled for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 financial years.
