Government Boosts ITI Modernization and AVGC Skilling with Huge Budget Increase

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has unveiled a significant increase in the budget allocation for 2026-27, focusing on enhancing the infrastructure and capacity of Industrial Training Institutes through the PM-SETU scheme. This includes upgrading 1,000 ITIs and establishing 15,000 Content Creator Labs to promote AVGC skills among students. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 continues to focus on new-age skills, aligning with industry needs in Semiconductor and Green Hydrogen sectors.
