Government Boosts Public Grievance Redress System with New Guidelines

The Indian government, through the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), has notably advanced its grievance redressal process by launching several reforms aimed at reducing grievance pendency and improving efficiency. As reported in the Rajya Sabha by Dr. Jitendra Singh, the government has instituted a 10-step reform plan which includes shortening grievance resolution timelines, establishing dedicated grievance cells, and better leveraging citizen feedback. This initiative, in the last four years alone, has trained over 33,000 Grievance Redressal Officers across various states and Union Territories.
