Government Evaluates Digital Adoption Among MSMEs Across E-Commerce Platforms

The Government of India has been actively assessing the digital adoption levels among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This assessment covers numerous digital facets, including e-commerce, digital accounting, and participation in frameworks like the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The initiative, propelled by the Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) scheme, collaborates with industry and research institutions to gauge progress. By the end of 2025, significant merchant activity was recorded on the ONDC network, including 206,000 merchants performing transactions and over 6 lakh services offered.
