Government Extends Export Obligation Period for Chemical Exporters
The Indian government has extended the Export Obligation period for chemical exporters from 6 months to 18 months under the Advance Authorization scheme for products under Quality Control Orders (QCOs). This decision, made by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) at the request of the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), aims to provide significant support to the chemical industry, simplify trade processes, and enhance the global competitiveness of Indian goods. The initiative is expected to alleviate financial pressures and ensure a steady supply of raw materials for export production.
