Government Initiates Reforms to Expedite Grievance Redressal

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions reports that between 2022 and 2025, a significant number of public grievances were recorded and resolved through CPGRAMS. A total of over 86 lakh grievances were addressed within the span, indicating a robust redressal mechanism. As of December 2025, measures under the 10-Step Reforms were implemented, improving efficiency by reducing resolution timelines and integrating department efforts. Specific guidelines initiated in August 2024 further enhanced this process by mandating dedicated grievance cells and enhancing escalation mechanisms across ministries. The report also highlights pending grievances and vigilance cases managed by the Central Vigilance Commission, reflecting ongoing efforts to mitigate backlogs and enhance governmental accountability.
