Government Initiates Welfare Measures for De-notified and Nomadic Tribes

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has taken significant steps towards the welfare of De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes through various initiatives. Following the 2008 report by the Renke Commission, the government established the National Commission and later the Development and Welfare Board for these communities. The Scheme for Economic Empowerment of De-notified and Nomadic Tribes (SEED) was launched, with a financial allocation of ₹200 crore to enhance the economic and social well-being of these groups.
