Government Initiatives for Minority Welfare

The Ministry of Minority Affairs is implementing various schemes under the 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' policy aimed at the welfare and upliftment of minority communities in India. The government has introduced monitoring mechanisms, including the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) of NITI Aayog, to ensure effective implementation and evaluation of these schemes. The initiatives focus on economically weaker sections among the six notified minority communities: Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Parsi, and Sikh. The government aims to provide universal access to eligible beneficiaries and has adopted a holistic approach to cover all strata of society.
