Government Launches Fellowship Schemes for SC/ST PhD Scholars

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, along with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, has introduced the 'National Fellowship Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students' (NFSC) and 'National Fellowship Scheme for Scheduled Tribe Students' (NFST) designed for Ph.D. scholars of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The initiatives aim to improve access and disbursement of fellowships using a digital management system and direct bank transfers.
