Government Launches RELIEF Scheme to Aid Exporters During West Asia Logistics Disruptions

The Indian Government has introduced the RELIEF (Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation) program under the Export Promotion Mission. With a budget of Rs. 497 crores, this initiative is designed to assist exporters facing challenges due to logistics disruptions in West Asia. RELIEF provides up to 100% additional risk coverage for exporters with existing ECGC credit insurance and up to 95% support for new consignments over the next three months. For MSMEs without insurance, there is a reimbursement scheme covering up to 50% of logistics costs.
