Government Launches Workshops for Edible Oil Regulation Compliance

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has announced a series of nationwide workshops to implement the amended Vegetable Oil Products Production and Availability (Regulation) Order, 2025 (VOPPA 2025). These workshops aim to enhance transparency, data collection, and monitoring in the edible oil sector, ensuring compliance among producers. The first workshop will take place on November 15, 2025, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, focusing on accurate data filing and registration processes. Mandatory registration on the VOPPA portal is required for all edible oil producers, with penalties for non-compliance.
