Government Measures to Ensure Remunerative Prices for Farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has announced measures to provide remunerative prices for agricultural produce by fixing Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for 22 crops annually. The MSPs are determined based on recommendations from the Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP) and have shown positive impacts on farmers' income. The government has implemented various initiatives to support farmers, including PM-KISAN, crop insurance schemes, and the formation of Farmer Producer Organizations. The MSPs are set at 1.5 times the cost of production, benefiting farmers across the country.
