Government of India Cracks Down on Unauthorised Use of Official Logos by Sports Federations

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has directed all recognised National Sports Federations (NSFs) to cease the unauthorised use of government insignia. This includes the State Emblem and logos of the Ministry and the Sports Authority of India, that are being misused on various communication materials. Non-compliance may lead to penalties including suspension of recognition or withdrawal of financial aid.
