Government of India Finalizes Borrowing Plan for H2 FY 2025-26
The Government of India has announced a borrowing plan of ₹6.77 lakh crore for the second half of FY 2025-26, which includes ₹10,000 crore through Sovereign Green Bonds. The borrowing will occur through 22 weekly auctions until March 6, 2026, covering various maturities from 3 to 50 years. Additionally, the Reserve Bank of India has set a WMA limit of ₹50,000 crore to manage temporary mismatches in government payments and receipts.
