Government of India Prioritizes Space Education for Rural Youth through YUVIKA Program
The Government of India is expanding its inclusive space education initiatives through the Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (YUVIKA) program, empowering young minds from different regions and backgrounds. Launched in 2019, YUVIKA aims to engage Class 9 students with space science and technology, placing a strong emphasis on including rural and underprivileged students. Currently, selected students participate in a residential program conducted across various ISRO centers, providing them with hands-on training and exposure to advanced space technologies.
