Government of India Strengthens MSME Support with Multiple Initiatives

The Government of India has implemented numerous initiatives to bolster the growth and support of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Among these efforts, an infusion of Rs. 9,000 Crore was made into the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for MSEs, facilitating an additional credit of Rs. 2 lakh crore. The Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme continues to provide substantial subsidies for new enterprises, while the Self-Reliant India Fund aims to inject Rs. 50,000 crore in MSMEs through equity funding. Technology upgrades are promoted through programs like the MSE-Cluster Development Programme and MSME Champions Scheme. Furthermore, mechanisms such as the SAMADHAAN and Online Dispute Resolution portals aid in timely payment settlements, showcasing the government's comprehensive approach to advancing the MSME sector.
