Government of India's Efforts in Digitizing Monuments and Antiquities

The Government of India, through the National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities, is making significant strides in documenting and digitizing unprotected monuments and antiquities nationwide. Since its establishment in 2007, the mission has documented over 1.84 lakh monuments and 17.20 lakh antiquities. The data is available to the public in English on NMMA's website. The mission ensures standardized documentation through workshops and training programs, collaborating with various educational and non-governmental organizations, and the Archaeological Survey of India.
