Government Plans to Extend PM E-DRIVE for EV Charging Infrastructure

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has announced a plan to extend the PM E-DRIVE Scheme, allocating Rs. 2,000 crore for the establishment of public charging stations across India. This initiative aims to enhance EV charging infrastructure both within city limits and along selected inter-city and inter-state highways, facilitating the installation of charging stations by private entrepreneurs as per guidelines from the Ministry of Power.
