Government's Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign Seeks to Ease Pension Processes
The Government of India has initiated Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaigns every November since 2022 to aid elderly and differently-abled pensioners in obtaining Digital Life Certificates (DLCs). The campaign offers services like Face Authentication via smartphones and uses resources from India Post Payments Bank and Gramin Dak Sevaks to assist pensioners, especially those over 80 years old. Integration of Bhavishya with various financial and health services aims to provide an end-to-end digital pension processing system.
