Gujarat's National Highway-56 to Get Major Upgrade with New Four-Lane Project

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a significant infrastructure project in Gujarat, upgrading 107.67 km of the Dhamasiya–Bitada/ Movi and Nasarpore–Malotha sections of National Highway-56 to four-lane standards. This initiative, costing Rs.4583.64 crore, aims to enhance connectivity in tribal areas, promote economic growth, and provide improved access to the Statue of Unity through the Aspirational District of Narmada. The project promises faster travel with reduced journey times and substantial employment opportunities.
