Gyan Bharatam Mission Launched for Manuscript Digitization

The Government of India has launched the Gyan Bharatam Mission under the Ministry of Culture, aiming to survey, document, conserve, and digitize over one crore manuscripts from academic institutions, museums, libraries, and private collections across the country. The mission's core objective is to create a National Digital Repository for wider accessibility, with a target to digitize these manuscripts over the next five years, as announced by Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
