"Hamara Shauchalay, Hamara Bhavishya" Campaign Culminates on Human Rights Day
The "Hamara Shauchalay, Hamara Bhavishya" campaign by the Ministry of Jal Shakti concluded on Human Rights Day, emphasizing the crucial link between improved sanitation and dignity. Initiated on November 19, the campaign stressed sanitation's role in societal health and highlighted the need for effective maintenance and repair of toilets across rural India. During the three-week initiative, extensive mobilization led to the repair and beautification of over 1 lakh Individual Household Latrines and 5,500 Community Sanitary Complexes. Community involvement played a key role, with 49,000 awareness events engaging over 32.7 lakh participants, strengthening India's path towards complete cleanliness or 'Sampoorna Swachhata."
