Health and Nutrition Initiatives for Tribal Communities

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, announced that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is implementing health and nutrition programs for tribal areas via the National Health Mission (NHM). Key initiatives include various medical and nutritional support services such as Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Free Drugs and Diagnostic Services, and strategies for combating anaemia and improving maternal and child health.
