High-Level Committee Approves Disaster Mitigation Projects Worth Rs. 4645.60 Crore

A High-Level Committee chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved disaster mitigation, recovery, and reconstruction projects totaling Rs. 4645.60 crore for nine states, including Assam, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh. Key initiatives include a Rs. 692.05 crore wetlands restoration plan for Assam and an Urban Flood Risk Management Programme for 11 cities with a budget of Rs. 2444.42 crore.
