High-Level Task Forces for North-East Economic Corridor
The Indian Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region has initiated High-Level Task Forces (HLTFs) for the North-East Economic Corridor (NEEC) to enhance the economic landscape and investment ecosystem in the region. Led by the Chief Minister of Mizoram and involving key members from Assam, Meghalaya, and Manipur, the task forces are mandated to assess current infrastructures, identify gaps, and formulate strategies to attract investments. Monitoring of these projects, executed under the PM-DevINE scheme, is conducted by state agencies and supported by the Ministry through various inspections and quality checks. Additionally, the government supports flood management initiatives to mitigate natural disasters in the North-Eastern states.
