Historic MoU Signed to Empower Rural Women in India

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance livelihood opportunities for rural women in India. This partnership aims to empower 10 crore women in Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by providing demand-driven skill training, financial literacy, and market access, aligning with the vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047'. The initiative will leverage existing infrastructure and ensure formal recognition of skills through certification, promoting entrepreneurship and economic self-reliance among rural women.
