Hostels for Tribal Community in Chhattisgarh

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has sanctioned 482 hostels with 32,146 seats for tribal students in the Bastar Division of Chhattisgarh. This initiative aims to enhance educational access for both boys and girls across seven districts. Additionally, the DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan was launched to address infrastructural gaps and improve access to health and education in tribal areas. The state government also provides free education and support for tribal students from classes 1 to 8, along with enhanced honorariums for part-time teachers.
