ICG Conducts 10th NATPOLREX-X & 27th NOSDCP Off Chennai Coast

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) successfully conducted the 10th National Level Pollution Response Exercise (NATPOLREX-X) and the 27th National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOSDCP) meeting off Chennai on October 5-6, 2025. The event saw participation from 40 foreign observers from 32 countries and over 105 national delegates. Highlights included a shoreline clean-up drill at Marina Beach and technical sessions on contemporary environmental issues. The exercise aimed to enhance national preparedness and inter-agency coordination for effective marine oil spill response, showcasing India's commitment to marine environmental protection and self-reliance in maritime technology.
