ICG Inaugurates Jetty at Vizhinjam Harbour for Coastal Security

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) inaugurated a new dedicated jetty at Vizhinjam Harbour, Kerala, on June 7, 2025. The 76.7-metre jetty will enhance the deployment and turnaround of ICG vessels, improving mission readiness for coastal surveillance, search & rescue, anti-smuggling, and fisheries protection. Located near key international shipping lanes, it is expected to significantly bolster India's southwestern coastline security.
