ICG Launches Two Fast Patrol Vessels

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) launched two advanced Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs), ICG Ship Ajit and ICGS Aparajit, at Goa Shipyard Limited on October 24, 2025. These vessels enhance India's maritime security and are part of a series of eight indigenously built FPVs. They feature advanced technology, including Controllable Pitch Propellers, and are designed for multi-mission roles such as fisheries protection and anti-piracy. The launch signifies a step forward in India's self-reliance in maritime capabilities and strengthens the domestic shipbuilding industry.
