ICG Ship Sarthak Enhances India-Kuwait Maritime Ties

ICG Ship Sarthak, an indigenously designed Offshore Patrol Vessel, has reached Suwaikh Port in Kuwait as part of its Overseas Deployment to the Gulf region. This visit marks a milestone in India-Kuwait maritime relations under India's SAGAR initiative and aims to strengthen regional cooperation. During its four-day stay, the ship's crew will engage in professional interactions, joint training, and cultural exchanges with the Kuwait Coast Guard. This visit follows the 2024 MoU on Defence Cooperation between the two nations, highlighting their strategic partnership and commitment to secure maritime governance. Future deployments will include visits to Iran and Saudi Arabia, underscoring India's efforts to enhance maritime ties across West Asia.
