The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has upgraded its weather forecasting services available to farmers across India by leveraging digital and communication technologies. These upgrades, highlighted by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh in the Lok Sabha, include the dissemination of weather forecasts through mobile apps and IT platforms.
