Implementation of e-Sakshya and Nyaya Setu Apps: Current Status
The Ministry of Home Affairs has highlighted the implementation of e-Sakshya and Nyaya Setu applications in a Rajya Sabha response. The e-Sakshya app supports Investigating Officers with evidence management and is operational in over 15,899 Police Stations across India. Nyaya Setu, designed for better inter-agency coordination and policing, was developed with insights from Chandigarh Police. Both applications, stemming from the Naveen Nyaya Sanhitas initiatives, emphasize enhanced digital evidence management and criminal justice delivery. However, detailed data on their operational usage and effectiveness is maintained by State/UT Governments.
