Implementation of Fifth Schedule in Karauli and Dhaulpur Districts
The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, informed the Lok Sabha that there is currently no formal demand or proposal for including Karauli and Dhaulpur districts under the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of India. The Fifth Schedule allows the President to declare certain areas as 'Scheduled Areas' after consulting the Governor. The Government of Rajasthan has not received any information regarding surveys or committees related to this matter in these districts.
