Implementation of PESA Act, 1996 in Odisha
The Government of Odisha is actively working to implement and integrate the Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act (PESA), 1996, into the Orissa Grama Panchayats Act, 1964. This effort includes updating State laws and receiving input from stakeholders through public hearings and consultative meetings.
