Implementation Progress of PM-JANMAN for PVTGs Reviewed in Lok Sabha

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Durgadas Uikey, addressed the Lok Sabha regarding the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN). The initiative aims to bolster resources for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) through the establishment of 1000 Multipurpose Centers (MPCs), of which all targets have been sanctioned. Financial and physical progress, alongside detailed achievements across various ministries, have been documented. While numerous infrastructure projects like housing, road connectivity, and the provision of solar power have shown notable progress, challenges in deploying such services in remote tribal regions persist, particularly in solar equipment transportation. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy continues to offer comprehensive support through its Central Financial Assistance scheme to counter these hurdles.
