Implementation Status of PM-JUGA

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, reported in Lok Sabha that the DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, launched on October 2, 2024, aims to address infrastructural gaps in 63,843 villages across 30 States/UTs. The initiative includes 25 interventions by 17 ministries, targeting tribal-majority villages and improving access to health, education, and livelihood opportunities for over 5 crore tribals. States can propose additional villages for inclusion, and detailed financial allocations and targets for various ministries are outlined.
