Import Restrictions on Precious Metal Alloys and Colloidal Metals
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced new import restrictions on certain precious metal alloys containing more than 1% gold, including Palladium, Rhodium, and Iridium. This regulation aims to ensure uniformity in import policies and facilitate trade by allowing free import of alloys with less than 1% gold. Additionally, restrictions have been placed on colloidal metals and compounds to regulate gold imports disguised as chemical compounds. Import authorization will be required for industrial sectors to maintain supply without disruption.
