Inauguration of C-FLOOD: A Unified Inundation Forecasting System
Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C R Patil, inaugurated C-FLOOD, a web-based platform providing two-day advance inundation forecasts at the village level. Developed collaboratively by C-DAC and CWC, this system enhances India's flood management and disaster response framework. It integrates flood modeling outputs and covers major river basins, utilizing advanced hydrodynamic modeling for accurate predictions. The initiative is part of the National Supercomputing Mission, aiming to improve public awareness and preparedness for flood events.
