Increase in Income of Farmers through PMMSY

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying is implementing the 'Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana' (PMMSY) with an investment of Rs. 20,050 crore to enhance the welfare of fishermen and fish farmers in India. The scheme includes various welfare activities such as insurance coverage, livelihood support during fishing bans, installation of transponders on fishing vessels, and development of fishing infrastructure. Additionally, the Kisan Credit Card facility has been extended to fishers, increasing the lending limit to enhance credit accessibility.
