India Accelerates Expansion of National Gas Grid for Broader Energy Access

The Indian government, through the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), is accelerating the expansion of the National Gas Grid to enhance energy accessibility across the country. The board has sanctioned approximately 34,233 kilometers of the Natural Gas Pipeline (NGPL) network, with 25,429 kilometers operational as of June 2025. Efforts under the 'One Nation, One Gas Grid' initiative include supporting infrastructure development and improving market dynamics.
